Where can I send in my registration form? All registration forms can be sent to: Myrtle Beach Marathon P.O. Box 8780 Myrtle Beach, SC 29578 There will be a $25 charge for all mail in forms.
How many participants are allowed in each event? Bi-Lo Marathon: 2750 Dasani Half Marathon: 3850 RBC 5K: 1200 Ripley’s Fun Run: No Limit Michelob Bike Rides: 800 for total event
What is your refund policy? Once your registration has been accepted, all fees are non-refundable (for any reason). This includes all circumstances including the event not being held.
How do I become a vendor? Contact us via email at mbmarathon2@sc.rr.com or call 843-293-RACE.
How do I sign up to be a volunteer? Contact us via email at mbmarathon2@sc.rr.com or call 843-293-RACE.
Why am I not listed in the database? Your name could be spelled wrong or if you are signed up through Prevention or The Leukemia Society you may not be listed in our site yet. If you have not received a registration confirmation or are not listed in the database, you can contact us at mbmarathon2@sc.rr.com.
The race I want to enter is closed, how do I get in? Is there a waiting list? Once the race is full we cannot accept any other entries. There are no exceptions and there is no wait list. You may try to get in touch with Prevention or The Leukemia Society to see if they have any spots left.
Can I have my packet mailed to me? Yes, your packet can be mailed to you for an additional charge of $35 and the cut off date for this request is January 15, 2010. Packets are usuallly mailed out at least two weeks before the event, so you should receive you packet at least a week in advance.
Can I transfer to another event? You can transfer to another event if the event has not reached its cap. There will be a $25 switching fee after February 1, 2010 (if there are still available spots) to switch, please call 843-293-RACE or email us at mbmarathon2@sc.rr.com
Is there a shuttle and what is the schedule? There is a shuttle from participating host hotels that will leave every 15 minutes between 5am and 6:15am and will be returning to hotels. You do not need a reservation. Please see our 'Lodging' tab at the top of this page for participating shuttle hotels.
What food and drinks will be on the course? Water and Powerade will be at all water stops (about every two miles), and fruit and Gu will be offered at medical stations.
Can I pick up someone else’s packet? Yes, you can pick up someone else’s packet if they cannot make it to the expo. You will not need a written letter or signature to pick this up.
Is there a race-day packet pick-up? All packets must be picked up at the runners expo held Thursday night and Friday. If you cannot be there by 9pm on Friday night, please call (843) 293-RACE or email mbmarathon2@sc.rr.com
Can I wear Headphones? Headphones are prohibited for your safety (this is not a closed course).
Can I run with a stroller? Unofficial bicycles, baby strollers, skates, in-line skates, and skate boards are prohibited.
Are there pacing teams? Yes, all pacing teams will be located at the start of the race.
Is there prize money? No, we are a non profit organization and we support Red Cross, Leukemia Society, and Horry County Schools. If you qualify for an award you can pick it up immediately following the race or at the post race party held at the House of Blues.
What are the course records? Please see 'Past Results' Tab at the top of the page for all past results and course records.
What is the course elevation? The highest course elevation is no more than 50 ft.
Is this a Boston Marathon qualifier? Yes
Can some one else run in my place? There are no bib transfers.
Can I drop my bag off at the start and pick it up at the finish? Yes, there will be a tent for you to drop off your belongings at the start of the race and you can pick them up at the finish line area.
Is there a lost and found? No
Where is the best place to park? Free parking is available at Broadway at the Beach.
Can I track someone online if I know their chip number? Not at this time.
How do I get my race certificate? All race certificates are online at www.brightroom.com
How do I get my chip time? Please view the 'Past Results' Tab at the top of the page.
What happens if I win an award and can’t pick it up? If you cannot pick it up following the race it will be at the post race party held at House of Blues Saturday night. Awards will not be mailed out.
My time is not showing up, what do I do? Contact RMS Sports at rmssports@aol.com.
There is an error with the results, how do I get it corrected? Contact RMS Sports at rmssports@aol.com.
When will I get my photos from Brightroom? Finishing Certificates and photos will take approximately one month and will be available online.
