HTC - Marathon Partnership

The Myrtle Beach Marathon and Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC) will continue their  partnership for the 2008 BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon. The 11^th Annual Marathon will take place February 14-17, 2008 and 10,000 runners are expected to participate in the weekend events.

 HTC NetRacer Awards will recognize the fastest male and female runners from Horry/Georgetown Counties in the Marathon, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay and 5K.

 The locally based communications cooperative, which has been a marathon partner since the race’s inception, will also recognize the HTC Volunteer of the Year. Annually, there are over 1,300 marathon volunteers.

 “HTC has been a proud partner of the marathon since it’s inception,” said Myrtle Beach Marathon President ShaunWalsh. “We are excited about expanding our partnership. Their recognition of local runners and Volunteer of the Year shows their commitment to the local community and to the people that are the heart and soul of this event.”

 HTC will also offer exclusive marathon video content that will be available on www.mbmarathon.com and www.sccoast.net and www.htcnetracer.net. The content will include training tips, medical advice, info on the course, traffic suggestions and info on all of the weekend events.

The 11^th Annual BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon presented by Wendy’s will be held February 14-17, 2008. Marathon events will include the two-day expo at the Myrtle Beach Marriot. Running Events include the RBC 5K, Ripley’s Aquarium Fun Run, Dasani Half Marathon, Wendy’s Marathon Relay, BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon presented by Wendy’s and the Michelob Ultra Bicycle Ride.
