The Myrtle Beach Marathon supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Carolina and the Horry County Chapter of the American Red Cross.  Since it's first year, the Myrtle Beach Marathon has assisted these charities in raising almost $3 Million.

BI-LO MYRTLE BEACH MARATHON IS OFFICIALLY A GREEN MARATHON

The Myrtle Beach Marathon has worked with Active.com to become an Official Green Marathon.  Check out the News tab to see what we've done (with your help) to reach this status.

USA Today lists the BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon as one of the 10 great winter marathons. Bart Yasso, recently inducted into Running USA's Hall of Champions, had this to say: "The pride of this race are the pace teams." ... "They are recruited to come and pace runners to help them reach a goal time."

Marathon and Half Marathon Training

Training programs for the BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon and the Dasani Half Marathon are available.

The Leukemia  and Lymphoma Society of South Carolina has excellent programs for both runners and walkers. Information on LLS training is available online.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross is offering Marathon and Half Marathon training programs designed specifically for local Myrtle Beach and Grand Strand runners and walkers.
